Anyone who has made the switch to the Paleo Diet likely experienced a sense of loss when thinking of those favorite food items that are no longer on the menu. Take pancakes – they just aren’t the same without a heaping helping of butter, and a life without pancakes just doesn’t sound like one you want to live. Thankfully, there is another, more healthful option.
For over 125 years, our family has been creating ghee from premium grass-fed and ethically raised cows. We make no unnecessary additions to the ghee—no salt or preservatives.
2 TBSP Indian Dessert Ghee
A pinch of sea salt
½ cup water
1) Add pancake mix, water, a pinch of sea salt, and Indian Dessert Ghee to mixing bowl. Mix well.
2) Melt Indian Dessert Ghee on hot pan, and pour batter to create pancakes about 5” in diameter.
3) After a few minutes, flip, and complete your pancakes.
4) Plate, and serve with another dab of the Dessert Ghee and your favorite syrup if you wish.

Makes: Roughly 5 5” pancakes
