Candida Paleo Low Carb Healthy Pizza Recipe

My Candida Paleo low carb healthy pizza recipe that is simple to make. I have been on a candida diet for 4 years to control my acne. It was not til recently that I figured out a way to make and enjoy a completely Candida friendly pizza. There are tons of Paleo and Vegan pizzas available.on the market, but I was not able to find a completely Candida friendly pizza. Recently, I have been gravitating towards the kitchen with great creativity. I have been getting positive remarks from friends and family, especially from my girlfriend. I hope you all try and enjoy this pizza recipe.

Pizza Crust Made With Almond Flour ( Good for 2 thin crust personal pan pizzas)

2 cups of almond flour
1 large egg
1/2 tsp of salt
The rest of the ingredients can vary depending to desired taste. I personally always use 1 tsp
1-2 tsp of olive oil
1-2 tsp of rosemary
1-2 tsp of thyme
1-2 tsp of garlic powder
Combine all ingredients in food processor or mix together in bowl. Grease your pan and also grease hands to flatten pizza dough. Work from the center and work your way out. Bake for 15-20 mins at 350 degrees

Pizza Crust Made With Oatbran or Oatmeal ( Good for 1 personal pan pizza)

1 cup of oat bran
2 tbsp ground flax (optional)
1 whole egg
1-2 tbsp olive oil
(Same herbs as almond pizza crust)
Handle and bake similar to almond pizza crust

Pizza Sauce from scratch.( For the video I used Glen Muir’s Organic Pizza Sauce)

1 lg tomato
1/2 tsp oregano powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 basil powder
1/2 lime squeezed
1 tbsp olive oil
Put all ingredient in food processor.Cook in low-medium heat simmer for 30-45 mins or until sauce like.

Almond Cheese (A lot of almond cheese on the market have casein protein. Casein is derived from dairy and not part of the Candida Diet. I have come across a lot of research that links casein to cancer. The only clean almond cheese I found was from Kite Hill sold at Wholefoods Market. A good alternative is fresh Hass Avocados. I would add the avocados after the pizza has been cooked.

1 cup of almond flour
1 lg lemon squeezed
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp of salt
Mix together in bowl or food processor. Store in fridge. Spread cheese first before adding pizza sauce and other toppings.

Toppings used in video (This really depends on your preference. Meats that I use are anchovies, smoked salmon, or prosciutto. I have also used cooked salted salmon)

1/2 green bell pepper
4 basil leaves cut
1 serving on prosciutto

After the pizza crust has been baked for 10-15 mins, top with desired sauce and toppings and then bake pizza for an additional 10-15 mins. Enjoy!
